Meet the Chef!

The personal chef behind Seven Loaves enjoying a sweet treat!

Hi! My name is Kaitlyn Johnson and I’m from Glenwood Springs, Colorado. A little about me: I’ve always absolutely loved baking, and I offer baking services that reflect my passion. With a sweet tooth, I wholeheartedly believe that there’s no problem a sweet treat can’t fix.

Kaitlyn Johnson - the personal chef behind Seven Loaves.

Within the last year, I’ve discovered my passion for cooking as well as baking services. I believe food is a universal love language, and making someone’s favorite meal for them can be an incredibly appreciated act of kindness. In the Bible, Jesus used many metaphors with food, brought numerous people together over meals, and some of His most amazing miracles involved food. I am eager to share the joy of Jesus through my passion for cooking!

I recently went through a massive career change, deciding against going to dental school after completing the entire application process (to make a long story short). Just days later, I founded Seven Loaves, and I’ve discovered that it is possible to turn your passions into a career, including meal preparation. I moved to Bozeman, Montana in the middle of May 2026, and I'm so excited to continue what I started in Colorado! Thank you for being a part of my journey :)

How I Chose the Name "Seven Loaves"

God has taught me so much lately about keeping Him at the center of everything and relying on Him to lead me step by step in life, which has been very difficult for me as someone who's extremely type A and thrives with a detailed plan for my future. When I started my baking services business, I knew I wanted God to be the focus, so where better to find a name than the Bible?

I went to a Bible study on Matthew 15 and read about Jesus’ second miracle of multiplying bread and fish for thousands of people. Matthew 15:34 jumped out at me so clearly when Jesus asks how much food his disciples have, and they respond with “seven loaves.” He then proceeds to multiply that into enough to feed four thousand men, plus women and children.

This is exactly what I am hoping He will do with my business: take what little I have to offer in baking, such as cooking classes and meal preparation, and multiply it into something that will bless many!

Jesus returned to the Sea of Galilee and climbed a hill, where he sat down to teach a vast crowd. Swarms of people brought him those who were lame, blind, crippled, unable to speak, and many others. They laid them before Jesus, and he healed them all. The crowd was amazed! Those who hadn’t been able to speak were talking, the crippled were made well, the lame were walking, and the blind could see again! They praised the God of Israel for His wonders.

Then Jesus called his disciples and expressed his concern, saying, “I feel sorry for these people. They have been with me for three days, and they have nothing left to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry, or they will faint along the way.”

The disciples replied, “Where would we get enough food for such a huge crowd in the wilderness? Even with our baking services, it would be a challenge to feed them all.”

Jesus asked, “How much bread do you have?”

They answered, “Seven loaves and a few small fish.”

So Jesus instructed all the people to sit down on the ground. Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, thanked God for them, and broke them into pieces. He gave the food to the disciples, who distributed it to the crowd, demonstrating a powerful lesson in meal preparation.

They all ate as much as they wanted. Afterward, the disciples picked up seven large baskets of leftover food. That day, 4,000 men, along with all the women and children, were fed, highlighting the abundance in sharing, much like the joy found in cooking classes.

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts, sharing their baking services and cooking classes. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
